The Wild Atlantic Way is Ireland's first long-distance touring route, stretching along the Atlantic coast from Donegal to West Cork. It’s inspiring renewing, relaxing and invigorating. The overall aim of the project is to develop a route that will achieve greater visibility for the west coast of Ireland in overseas tourist markets.

Nevsail Water Sports
Join Limerick City Kayak Tours on the mighty River Shannon as Nevsail Watersports brings Limerick's Viking past to life during the City of Culture 2014.
This tour is suitable for paddlers of any level and combines the beauty of the majestic river along with folklore of the deep history of the Treaty City. Limerick has been destroyed no less than 13 times with the aggressors using the Shannon each time to surprise the natives!
You can follow in the footsteps (paddle strokes!) of raiding Danes, pillaging Vikings (and even the angry tribal neighbours) while taking in the famous sites of the city, its colourful folklore and local wildlife.

Limerick wake & ski - Castleconnell County Limerick
Limerick Wake & Ski offer sessions for beginners or groups and all equipment is supplied with personal tuition available. If you want to experience the thrills and spills of one of the most extreme water sports around then wake boarding is for you. Pre booking is advised during the summer season for both groups and individuals.
Great Southern Trail
Ireland's rolling green landscape, much of it untouched by development, makes it an ideal location for the enthusiast and casual walker alike.
Numerous signed posted walking routes of note have been developed over the last few years. The Great Southern Trail is a unique 53 mile stretch of countryside in West Limerick / North Kerry.
The Ballyhoura Way
The Ballyhoura Way is part of the O'Sullivan Beara trail and stretches 90kms. (56mls.) from John's Bridge in North Cork to Limerick Junction in Co.Tipperary. An attractive and varied route through the lush pastureland of the Golden Vale, wild countryside - mostly on 'Green Roads' , along forest trails, driving paths and river bank, across the wooded Ballyhoura Mountains and through the Glen of Aherlow.
